[00:06.19]Good morning,and welcome to the language school of W University.
[00:12.54]I'm very happy to greet you to our summer program,
[00:17.71]and hope that you will not only learn a lot more English,
[00:22.86]but also learn about the Irish way of life.
[00:27.72]Before you go to your classrooms,
[00:31.48]I want to have a quick look at your weekly time table with you.
[00:37.04]Classes are taught from Monday to Friday.
[00:41.69]With four classes in the morning,and three classes in the afternoons.
[00:47.75]One lesson takes up to 50 minutes.
[00:52.01]We start every morning with two lessons of what we called "language study."
[00:58.38]which will mostly be grammar and vocabulary.
[01:03.11]The rest of the morning classes are either spend in the computer lab
[01:09.15]or in workshops.
[01:12.39]There is a composition workshop to practice your speaking skills.
[01:17.64]One lesson on Tuesday,directly after the language study class.
[01:23.38]And there is a reading workshop at 2:50 on Friday morning.
[01:29.34]There are also 2:50 classes in the computer lab
[01:34.80]which form the third class on both Wednesdays and Thursdays.
[01:40.55]Lunch is from 12:30 to 1:00.
[01:45.72]Each afternoon except for Wednesday,
[01:50.37]starts with two lessons of skills practice.
[01:56.01]In those classes,you will mostly practice listening and speaking.

[02:05.31]they are followed by a class of 50 minutes at the language lab.
[02:11.08]The language lab is open Monday to Friday
[02:15.73]from 8:30 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening.

[02:55.10]If have some reason you can't in the class
[02:59.46] you have to phone your teacher half an hour before class begins.

[03:15.19]Wales is one of the four countries that form the United Kingdom.

[03:59.49]Travelling from England,you will know when you are in Wales,
[04:06.05]because all streets signs and names of railway stations are written in two languages:
[04:13.49]English and Welsh.
[04:18.25]Welsh is the original language of the people in Wales.
[04:23.81]The landscape in Wales is also different from England.
[04:29.09]While England is mostly hilly,the central parts of Wales are mountainous.
[04:36.04]It is here that we find the highest mountain in the UK.
[04:41.50]As it is impossible to grow crops on the mountains,
[04:46.67]Welsh farmers keep sheep instead.
[04:51.42]It is difficult to get around the steep mountains slopes even in a jeep
[04:58.55]so the Welsh sheep farmers use dogs to move the sheep from one field to another.
[05:06.29]The weather in Wales is warmer and wetter than in other parts of Britain.
[05:13.26]This is because of the high mountains.
[05:18.41]The wind here usually comes from the southwest,
[05:24.08]as it moves across the warm Pacific Ocean,
[05:28.72]the winds carries water from the sea.
[05:33.30]When this winds hits the mountains of Wales,
[05:37.84]the air rises causing rain to fall.
[05:43.72]Wales is popular with holiday visitors they go hiking in the mountains
[05:51.16] or spend their summer days by the sea,swimming or sailing.
[05:57.43]People interested in history and architecture
[06:02.08] can visit some of the many historical sites in Wales.
