[-1:13.00]“Why don't you sit down?”a voice said.
[-1:14.00]I looked up and saw a square face and smiling eyes
[-1:15.00]anxious to put me at ease.He pointed me to a chair.
[-1:16.00]Somehow I liked that.The guy was sensitive and self-confident.
[-1:17.00]He looked all right.Could stand to lose a few pounds.
[-1:18.00]I liked the way his lips curved to meet his eyes.
[-1:19.00]Thick hair,commanding voice,strong laugh.
[-1:20.00]To my surprise,the conversation flowed easily.
[-1:21.00]We had a great deal in common, but his profession was very different from mine.
[-1:22.00]I learned that he had an MBA  from an American university
[-1:23.00]and had worked on Wall Street before joining a financial consulting firm.
[-1:24.00]Two hours later,Ram said:“I'd like to get to know you better.
[-1:25.00]Unfortunately,I have to be back at my job in the United States,
[-1:26.00]but I could call you every other day.No strings attached,
[-1:27.00]and both of us can decide where this goes,if anywhere.”
[-1:28.00]I didn't dislike him.
[-1:29.00]He called 10 days later.About a month later he asked me to marry him,
[-1:30.00]and I accepted.I am convinced that our successful relationship
[-1:31.00]has to do with two words:tolerance and trust.
