because of是介词吗？它的后面可以接从句吗? 请看下面的题目：

此题应选D。容易误选C，因为按习惯思维：because之后接从句，而because of之后接名词或代词。

其实，because 作为从属连词，用以引导原因状语从句，其后应是一个不含有引导词的句子，而不能是 what引导的从句。另一方面，本题中的 what he had done＝the thing(s)that he had done。也就是说，这个what-从句从本质上看它相当于一个名词，所以要选 because of。
