1. pass off

发生;停止;终止;

[例句]The demonstration passed off without incident.

2. pass out

分发;<口>昏厥;喝得烂醉;分配;

[例句]He felt sick and dizzy and then passed out.

他感到恶心、眩晕,然后就昏了过去。

3. pay back

偿还;偿付;报答;报复;

[例句]He burst into tears, begging her to forgive him and swearing to pay back everything he had stolen.

他突然大哭起来,求她原谅,并发誓偿还他偷的所有东西。

4. pay off

付清;(付清工资后)解雇;<非正>取得成功;使得益;

[例句]It would take him the rest of his life to pay off that loan.
