Xishiku Catholic Church, also known as the North Church, is the location of the Beijing Cardinal Bishop Office The church was originally located at Xipancanchiguo in Zhongnanhai, opposite to the former Beijing Library, a land bestowed by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty with a calligraphic plaque and couplets for the building.
