M：你好，Doris。听说你下周要去美国了。

W: So I am.
W：是的。

M: When did you get your passport?
M：你是什么时候办好护照的？

W: I got it last week.
W：上周。

M: How long is it valid?
M：护照有效期是多久？

W: It's valid for 5 years. I am planning to do a doctor’s degree during my stay there.
W：有效期是5年，我打算在那儿读一个博士学位。

M: Good. Good luck to you!
M：那不错，祝你好运！

W: Thank you very much.
