体坛英语新闻:Cristiano scores four as Real Madrid hammer Racing 6-1 in Bernabeu
MADRID, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid remain top of the BBVA Primera Liga in Spain after thrashing Racing Santander at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals as his side handed out a lesson in football against a team that came looking for a 0-0 draw and which was rewarded with a humiliating defeat.
Real were 3-0 up at half time as Racing were caught out time and again with long balls over a five man defense.
Real Madrid went into the game on the back of their impressive Champions League win over AC Milan.

Jose Mourinho was again without Sergio Ramos and Alvaro Arbeloa continued in defense as his side looked to maintain its unbeaten start to the season against a side that looks likely to be involved in a battle against relegation.
The feelgood factor in Madrid continued after just 10 minutes. Gonzalo Higuain latched onto a long ball, ran unopposed in the Racing half and slipped the ball under the helpless Racing keeper.
Ronaldo doubled the lead five minutes later as Higuain collected the ball on the right and Ronaldo times his run through the heart of the Racing defense to beat the keeper from close range.
The visitors were leaving space behind their defense and were made to pay again after 26 minutes. This time the impressive Mesut Ozil won possession on the right and he passed to a totally unmarked Ronaldo, who slotted home his second of the night.
Racing' s only chance came when Rosenberg' s shot was deflected for a corner, but the fact was that Iker Casillas, who had made a lightening trip to the Prince of Asturias Awards in Oviedo on Friday, could probably have stayed in the north of Spain and his side would not have conceded any goals.
Racing coach Miguel Angel Portugal took off a defender at half time, replacing Torrejon with the striker, Nahuelpan, but a minute into the second half, Ronaldo finished his hat-trick, scoring from close range after good work from Di Maria.
He made it 5-0 from the penalty spot after 55 minutes, before Ozil scored Madrid' s sixth with half an hour remaining.
