体坛英语新闻：Sevilla draws against Dortmund to reach last 32 of Europa League

MADRID, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- First half goals from Romaric and Freddy Kanoute gave Sevilla a 2-2 draw at home to Borussia Dortmund that allows the Spanish side to reach the knockout phase of the Europa League.

Sevilla went into the match on the back of a four game losing streak, which included three defeats in their Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium and the Spanish side got off to the worst possible start.

After just four minutes Borussia midfielder Kagawa was able to curl the ball in at Palop's left hand post.

The ball may have taken a deflection on its way to goal and after five straight defeats, that could have been a morale blow to Sevilla, but the home side reacted well.

The much-criticized Romaric leveled the scores on the half hour with a left-foot shot following a scramble in the Dortmund area and Kanoute made it 2-1 four minutes later with a good header from a Perotti cross.

It was the striker's last act of the game as he had to leave the game with a thigh injury.
