BERLIN, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Bundesliga record champion Bayern Munich suffered an embarrassing defeat to Cologne as they turned a 2-0 lead to 2-3 loss on Saturday.

Hoffenheim earned a hard fought 3-2 victory against Kaiserslautern while Bremen striker Claudio Pizzaro sealed a draw at last second for his team against Mainz. Wolfsburg suffered the second defeat in row against Hannover as Nuremberg stunned second positioned Leverkusen.

Bayern had the chance to shorten the 14-point gap to leader Dortmund against Cologne. It looked like a good afternoon for the Bavarians as striker Mario Gomez utilized a diagonal through pass to straddle the ball home from goal area at the 21st minute.
