国际英语新闻:Hamas detains British journalist in Gaza
GAZA, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Hamas security forces arrested on Sunday a British journalist in Gaza hours after he arrived in the enclave, Hamas security sources said.
Hamas security forces arrested a British journalist and ordered to keep him in custody for 14 days, several hours after he arrived into the enclave where the movement controls, said the sources.
According to the sources, Paul Martin, who holds the British nationality, crossed into the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning through Erez crossing between the northern tip of the enclave and Israel.
Martin was accused of sending information "to hostile parties" by releasing a videotape about a Palestinian militant, who is a member of a militant groups in the Gaza Strip, added the sources.
Martin, a producer of documentary films, had met with a Palestinian militant in Gaza several weeks ago and interviewed him. The interview was later aired by BBC.
