国际英语新闻:Nepali PM calls on president
KATHMANDU, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Nepali caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal met President Ram Baran Yadav here Saturday evening and discussed the latest political developments, especially the successive failures in the prime ministerial election.
According to PM Nepal's political advisor Raghuji Panta, PM Nepal briefed Yadav about his recent "initiatives" to forge political consensus.
PM Nepal met Yadav following a meeting of 11 ruling parties at his residence in the capital Kathmandu.
The 11-party meeting ended with a call to the parties to settle their differences on the key agendas and form the new government on consensus.
The 11 parties also called on the government and the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) to arrive at a consensus on the mandate and the tenure of the United Nations Mission in Nepal.
