VIENNA, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader was arrested Friday in Salzburg, Austria, on charge of corruption, Austrian newspaper Kurier reported.
It was reported that Sanader was arrested on Friday afternoon in Salzburg after he left Croatia on Thursday morning, when Croatian parliament voted to lift his immunity because he was suspected of conspiring to commit crime and abuse of office.

Sanader served as Croatia's Prime minister from 2003 to 2009. He was the first head of Croatian government to be investigated for corruption.
