国际英语新闻:Airbus launches air traffic management firm ProSky
PARIS, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Airbus has launched a new subsidiary company called "Airbus ProSky," aiming to enhance development and support of modern air traffic management (ATM) systems in Europe and other regions, the French company said Tuesday.
Airbus ProSky will function to interact and develop ATM programs such as "Single European Sky ATM Research" (SESAR) in Europe, resembling what NextGen does in the United States, the European leading aircraft maker said in a statement. The Airbus subsidiary will also work to implement air traffic management cooperation between the European and the United States by "capitalizing on the technological, operational and commercial synergies," it added.
The new entity will be headed by Eric Stefanello, vice president of ATM at Airbus, and supported by Marc Hamy, formerly chief-of-staff for France's Transport Minister.
Airbus ProSky has signed a MoU in December with the Chinese Air Traffic Management Bureau on the introduction of new ATM concepts, airspace design, deployment support, training and best practices, according to Airbus.
