国际英语新闻:President Obama Hails US Successes on Asia-Pacific Trip
U.S. President Barack Obama says the U.S. has made progress boosting exports and expanding markets as he ends his nine-day Asia-Pacific trip in Indonesia.
Obama recorded his weekly address there, saying top U.S. companies such as Boeing and General Electric have struck trade deals with Indonesia that will support more than 100,000 American jobs.
The president says the Asia-Pacific region already supports five million American jobs, and the fastest growing region in the world has the potential to increase U.S. job growth.
In the Republican weekly address, Senator Pat Toomey said the Obama administration's policies are not creating jobs and are leading the country toward fiscal ruin.
Senator Toomey says America's revitalization will include reducing the budget deficit and reforming the tax code.
