国际英语新闻:Swedish university reopens after anonymous threat
STOCKHOLM, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- One of Sweden's largest universities reopened on Tuesday after shutting its doors the day before following an anonymous threat posted on a smartphone app, local media reported.
Lund University said its 42,000 students would be met by full service again on Wednesday, according to news agency TT.
"The police have judged that there isn't the same level of threat anymore," said the university's head of administrative affairs, Susanne Kristensson.
"We will fully resume tomorrow (Wednesday). Students are welcome this afternoon if they want," she added.
University staff decided to close the institution after a user posted a message on an anonymous chat service popular among students urging them not to attend the school on Monday.
Police said on Tuesday they deemed the threat less serious since they had found it was not only directed at Lund University, but at other schools as well.
"We have not received indications that anything concrete will happen," police spokesperson Kim Hild told TT.
