President Trump says China wants to make a trade deal, but the United States isn't ready. During a news conference in Japan, the President also said the US is making millions of dollars from tariffs on Chinese goods. 

Elections have been held across more than 2 dozen nations for the European Union Parliament. Right wing nationalist parties and leftist green parties had strong showings.

The National Weather Service says the deadly tornado that struck El Reno, Oklahoma had winds up to 165 mph. The twister demolished a motel and a mobile home park, killing 2 people and hurting dozens.

And authorities in Maui, Hawaii say a 65-year-old California man has died after a shark attack. The man's family told rescuers he went swimming before the deadly accident.
