AP News:拜登正式获民主党总统候选人提名

This is AP News Minute.
Tens of thousands rallied Saturday in cities across the globe to honor George Floyd and voice their support for the Black Lives Matter movement. In Washington. D.C, authorities expected up to 200-thousand people, the city's largest demonstration yet.
The protests swelled as George Floyd was mourned in his North Carolina hometown, where hundreds lined up to squeeze into a church to pay their respects. A public viewing was held mid-day, followed by a private but broadcast memorial service.

Joe Biden has won the last few delegates he needed to clinch the Democratic nomination for president. The former vice-president became the presumptive nominee almost two months ago but he only pulled together the nearly two-thousand delegates needed to seal the nomination after the latest round of contests this week.
And with cancelations due to the coronavirus, there were few veterans on the beaches of Normandy Saturday to mark the 76th anniversary of D-Day. But the ceremonial flypast went on.
