The Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurz has asked President Alexander Van der Bellen to sack the Interior Minister Herbert Kickl. Mr. Kickl’s four ministerial colleagues in the far-right Freedom Party have stepped down in solidarity. It follows a video scandal that led to the resignation of the Freedom Party leader Heinz Christian Strache.

The photo and video sharing site Instagram says it’s investigating reports that a huge database of its context has been shared online by an Indian firm. According to the technology new site Techcrunch, the Indian marketing company was responsible for compiling information relating to some 49 million accounts. The data were stored online uNPRotected.

The World Food Program has accused Houthi rebels of interfering in its work in Yemen, and says it may have to suspend aid deliveries in parts of the country. The Houthis hold large tracks of Yemen where millions of people face famine.

A court in Portugal has found 8 police officers guilty of kidnapping and beating up 6 youths from a predominantly black neighborhood in the outskirts of Lisbon. Only one officer received a prison sentence, the others were given suspended sentences.

The US government has warned that drones made in China could pose a security risk to American companies. It comes as Washington and Beijing are involved in an escalating trade war in which the US has accused Chinese technology firms of being a threat to security.

At least 23 people have been killed in ethnic violence in the east of Chad. Officials say the clashes erupted on Sunday.

The former British Deputy Prime Minister Lord Heseltine has had its Conservative Party’s backing withdrawn after saying he would vote for the Liberal Democrats at this week’s European elections. He said he had made the decision because of the Tory’s pro-Brexit stance.
