国内英语新闻:Prism program unveiled hypocrisy: defense ministry spokesman
BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The Prism program unveiled relevant countries' hypocrisy regarding cyber security, a spokesman for China's National Defense Ministry said Thursday.
The Prism program has shown the true colors of relevant countries, and there will be fair public opinion regarding the cyber security issue, spokesman Yang Yujun said at a press conference in response to a media request for a comment on cyber attacks on China.
Cyber security is a composite security challenge facing all countries and it is the common responsibility of all countries to safeguard cyber security, he said, adding that the use of double standards in cyber security will not be conducive to the peace andsecurity of the Internet.
He noted that the Prism program once again reminded people of the need to underscore the importance of cyber security and information security, and China is determined to safeguard cyber security as well as national security.
