国内英语新闻:Chinese, Austrian FMs hold talks
BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz held talks on bilateral ties in Beijing on Wednesday.
Speaking highly of the smooth development of China-Austria relations since its establishment, Wang called on the two countries to further deepen political mutual trust and respect each other's core concern.
He said the two sides should further strengthen cooperation in areas including trade, investment, manufacturing, environmental protection, tourism and sports, so as to promote a stable and sound development of bilateral ties.
Kurz echoed Wang saying the new Austrian government attached high importance to relations with China. the government will abide by the one-China policy and will not support any attempt to separate China.
He said Austria will further expand substantial cooperation with China and enhance bilateral personnel and youth exchanges. It is also ready to discuss with China on further measures of visa facilitation.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.
The two ministers signed an agreement after the talks to simplify the visa procedure for flight crews of airline companies for both countries.
