国内英语新闻:Chinese, Vietnamese parties hold 10th theory seminar

DA LAT, Vietnam, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- The tenth theory seminar between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was held in Da Lat City, Vietnam's Central Highlands Lam Dong province, on Tuesday with the theme of experiences in building a socialist country under rule of law.

Liu Qibao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and Dinh The Huynh, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, secretary of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat and chairman of the Central Theory Council, attended the seminar.

Liu, also the head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said at the seminar China attaches great importance to rule of law and the just-concluded fourth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee has adopted a decision on major issues of comprehensively advancing rule of law.

He emphasized that China will stick to the policy of upholding the CPC's leadership, respecting the people as the masters of the country and carrying out state governance under rule of law, while unswervingly following the path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics for building a socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics and a socialist country ruled by law.

China is willing to enhance exchange of experiences with Vietnam in state governance for lift the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new height, Liu said.

Dinh The Huynh, who also serves as the head of the CPV Central Committee's Commission for Education and Popularization, introduced Vietnam's experiences and practices in strengthening rule of law.

Speaking highly of the results of the fourth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee as well as the development in China 's effort to advance rule of law, he said Vietnam is ready to work with China to promote mutual learning between the two countries for common development.

Earlier on the same day, Liu held talks with Dinh The Huynh, during which the two sides exchanged views on pushing forward relations between the CPC and CPV and the two countries, as well as promoting media and cultural cooperation.
