国内英语新闻:Political advisors propose supporting micro, small firm innovation
BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's senior political advisors held a seminar on Thursday to discuss how to boost technical innovation for micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs).
The seminar was presided by Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee and was attended by experts as well as regulatory officials from financial, industrial and intellectual property protection ministries and agencies.
The attendees reached a conclusion that MSEs need more support measures in the face of economic difficulties. The development of MSEs mainly depends on the market and the government's task is to build the market.
They suggested the establishment of a legal system that can better protect intellectual property. They also said the government should unify preferential tax policies, encourage more venture capital investment, set up a trial-and-error system for MSEs and provide better service to them.
The bi-monthly seminars are used by top political advisors to study major issues with experts and officials.
