国内英语新闻: Prosecutors to intensify supervision over administrative power
BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's prosecutors plan to step up the supervision over the operation of administrative power to protect citizens' rights.
The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said in a circular that procuratorial agencies would set up a system to supervise use or abuse of administrative measures that may affect citizens' personal or property rights.
The prosecutors will make suggestions when they find violations and ensure that persons or departments concerned rectify their misconduct.
Agencies will also attempt to formulate some rules on public interest litigation against administrative misconduct. Such case may include situations where interests of the country or the public are harmed but no specific citizen or organization is eligible to lodge the claim.
Prosecutors will share information with administrative departments, police and courts to streamline the system.
