BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Wherever there is corruption, there will be forces to bring it to justice. With Ling Jihua expelled from the Party and his case handed to prosecutors, the Communist Party of China has moved a major step forward in its anti-graft campaign.

Authorities announced on Monday that Ling Jihua has been expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and removed from public office, while prosecutors have decided to arrest him and kicked off an investigation into his suspected bribery case.

The handling of Ling's violations fully showcased the determination of the CPC Central Committee to uphold Party disciplines and maintain socialist rule of law.

Like water and fire, the CPC doesn't tolerate corruption. Eliminating corruption is a necessary requirement for the comprehensive and strict management of the Party as well as Party members and people's common wish.

Investigations revealed Ling took advantage of his posts to seek profit for others and accepted huge bribes personally and through his family. He is also suspected of obtaining a great deal of the Party and state's core secrets in violation of the laws and discipline as well as committing adultery with a number of women.

Ling's case, once again, rang the alarm bell that the line drawn by Party disciplines can never be crossed and political regulations and rules should not be taken lightly.

Ling's case also served as a warning that it's absolutely forbidden to organize factions within the Party, seek personal interests or carry out any wayward or pretentious acts.

Each and every Party member -- no matter how experienced or how high one's position is -- must obey the Party's political disciplines and rules. To ensure that, they must fear laws and regulations, exercise cautions in their words and deeds, remain politically loyal and consolidate their sense of rules and disciplines.

There shouldn't be any hesitation in obeying the rules, and those violating the Party's political, organizational and financial disciplines will be punished with a serious attitude.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in late 2012, the new leadership has been waging an intensified war against corruption, achieving results that have instilled fresh energy in its governance and people's support.

However, the situation is still arduous, and the Party cannot afford any rest or relaxation until final victory is won.
