国内英语新闻:Chinese president receives credentials of eight new ambassadors
BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- President Xi Jinping received the credentials of eight new ambassadors to China in Beijing on Wednesday.
The ambassadors are Ioane Naivalurua from Fiji; Vivianne Fock Tave from the Seychelles; Miroslaw Gajewski from Poland; Ettore Francesco Sequi from Italy; Miao Kwong Lee Hon Chong from Mauritius; Jean Charles Okoto Lolakombe from the Democratic Republic of Congo; Winnie Natala Chibesakunda from Zambia; and A. Carsten Damsagaard from Denmark.
Xi welcomed the new ambassadors to their posts and asked them to convey his sincere greetings to their leaders and people.
China will continue boosting friendship and practical cooperation with the countries, and jointly promote common development and prosperity, he said.
He vowed convenience and support for the ambassadors, and encouraged them to contribute to cementing ties between the people of China and their respective countries.
The ambassadors conveyed greetings from their state leaders to Xi and lauded China's development achievements and important role in global affairs.
They vowed to contribute to stronger ties between their respective countries and China during their tenure.
