国内英语新闻:Top Chinese discipline inspector emphasizes superior line of faith
BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Top discipline inspector Wang Qishan on Wednesday said that to eliminate corruption all members of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) must adhere to the ideals, faith and tenets of the Party, and serve the people.
Wang, head of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), made the remarks during a meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Zhongnanhai, the headquarters of the Chinese government.
To curb the spread of corruption, Wang said, the CPC is tightening discipline, cracking down on graft and enhancing supervision.
He said the CPC has adopted strict rules to eliminate the root of corruption and make it harder for members to become corrupt within the system. Party members who cross the line will be punished, Wang added.
With the current momentum, Wang said, the Party will be governed strictly and its core leadership will champion socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Phuc expressed readiness to learn from China's anti-corruption campaign.
