国内英语新闻:Senior CPC official arrives for DPRK visit

PYONGYANG, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Liu Yunshan arrived here Friday for a four-day visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, is leading a CPC delegation to attend activities marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and will pay an official friendly visit to the DPRK.

During his stay, Liu, also a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, will meet with DPRK leaders to exchange views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.

The Chinese delegation made the trip at the invitation of the WPK Central Committee.
