国内英语新闻:China to reinforce IPR protection: vice premier
BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- China will make more efforts to crack down on intellectual property right (IPR) infringement during the next five years, Vice Premier Wang Yang said Thursday.
Since 2011, China has launched more than 150 special campaigns against IPR infringement, the production and sales of fake and inferior products, and dealt with more than one million law-breaking cases, Wang said at a meeting.
The government has fulfilled its commitment to ensure that all government departments use authorized computer softwares, he said.
As the country highlights the role of entrepreneurship and innovation, it should launch more special campaigns, identify areas to improve IPR protection and enhance supervision, Wang said.
He added that China should cooperate with other countries and improve laws and regulations in this field.
