BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- China's cabinet said Monday it will integrate and streamline the country's various mandatory standards to avoid overlaps and contradictions.
The State Council released a work plan demanding authorities to assess all mandatory standards enforced at national, industrial and local levels by the end of 2016 and decide whether to abolish, change or keep them.
The work aims to address problems such as overlapped and conflicting standards and establish a unified national mandatory standard system, the cabinet said.
The move was part of China's reforms to make its standards on products and services more updated, efficient and market-oriented.
