国内英语新闻:China, India hold first anti-terror dialogue

BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- China and India on Tuesday held their first dialogue on anti-terrorism and security.

The two sides exchanged opinions on the international and regional security situation and their respective anti-terrorism systems, mechanisms and legislation.

They also reached some consensus on measures to strengthen cooperation and to jointly deal with security threats, according to a document issued after the meeting.

The dialogue was jointly chaired by Wang Yongqing, secretary-general of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and R.N. Ravi, chairman of Joint Intelligence Committee of India.

Senior officials from the ministries of foreign affairs, public security and state security attended the talks.
