BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- As China has entered a crucial stage in the building of a "moderately prosperous society in all respects", a strong core leadership is needed to ensure the development and prosperity of the nation.

A key meeting of the Communist Party of China (CPC) this week has called on all its members to "closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core."
