体坛英语新闻：Flamengo and Fluminense draw in scoreless dual

RIO DE JANEIRO, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Heavyweights of the Rio de Janeiro state championship Flamengo and Fluminense played out to a scoreless draw on Sunday in the third round of the second half of the state tournament.

Flamengo keeper Felilpe and Fluminense goalie Ricardo Berna both performed well, defending multiple shots that would have easily gone into their respective goals.

The stars of each team, Flamengo's Ronaldinho Gaucho and Thiago Neves and Fluminense's Conca and Emerson, disappointed fans with a dismal offensive performance.

The 25,000 fans that filled the Engenhao stadium booed as the match came to an end. Flamengo's 11 game-winning streak came to an end. Nevertheless, the team remains undefeated in 2011.

Both teams will return to the state tournament next weekend. On March 19 Fluminense will face Boavista while on the following day Flamengo will travel to play Cabofriense.
