MADRID, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Sevilla's Spain international winger Jesus Navas will miss the rest of the season with a fractured leg, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

The club, which is currently placed in fifth place in the La Liga, confirms that Navas has suffered a "stress fracture of the fibula on his left leg."

The estimated recovery time is six weeks, so Navas is unlikely to be fit before the end of the season as his side looks to qualify for next season's Europa League.

The injury marks the end of a frustrating season for Navas, who has only made 15 La Liga appearances for Sevilla after suffering a serious ankle injury in September.

He had complained of problems ahead of Saturday's 2-2 draw away to Mallorca and tests have confirmed the extent of his injury.
