体坛英语新闻:Real Madrid to finish preparation for new season in China
GUANGZHOU, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid would complete their pre-season matches in China in August before the new season, said Emilio Butragueno, director of Real Madrid football club's international affairs department here on Thursday.
"We will bring our finest players to China because head coah Jose Mourinho will do the final inspection on the team in matches against Guangzhou Evergrande and Tianjin Taida in August. After that the new season will be underway," the 47-year-old said.
Butragueno said the team would arrive in China on August 1, starting Real's China tour. The two matches were fixed on August 3 in Guangzhou, and three days later in east China's port city of Tianjin.
"Both the two cities have good atmosphere, and the two teams eye international fame. Real are honored to play against them," Said Butragueno.
Real's last visit to China was in 2005, when they beat Beijing Guoan 3-2 in the capital of China. Butragueno said the upcoming trip to China after six years was a lot more than two matches.
"We keep going in for youth and vulnerable. Real Madrid have opened more than 150 sports schools for them all over the world. Now in China, we start from Guangzhou," said Butragueno.
The new season for Real Madrid will be started from late August, when the LFP kicks off.
