MADRID, June 27 (Xinhua) -- World number one Rafael Nadal will miss a Davis Cup match between Spain and the United States next month.

Nadal told sports daily AS that he needs a rest.

Nadal will be replaced by Marcel Granollers, Spain captain Albert Costa said.

Spain will take on the United States in the Davis Cup quarter-final in Austin, Texas on July 8-10.
