国际英语新闻:Egypt's pro-Morsi coalition calls for talks among political forces
CAIRO, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- A coalition supporting Egypt's ousted president Mohamed Morsi called for in-depth talks among all political forces to solve the current crisis in the country, the ex-ruling party said Saturday on its website.
The National Coalition to Support Legitimacy told a press conference Saturday that it "calls on all revolutionary forces and political parties and patriotic figures to enter an in-depth dialogue on the current crisis," according to the website of the Freedom and Justice Party.
The coalition led by the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Morsi is a member, urged all political powers to admit what the army did on July 3 is a "coup" and to bring the murderers of Morsi's supporters to justice, asserting that the only way to solve the crisis is to uphold legitimacy.
It also requested the release of Islamist prisoners and the reopening of Islamist TV channels shut down by the authorities after Morsi's overthrow on July 3.
The coalition was not clear on whether it insists the Islamist leader return to office.

Egypt rejects Brotherhood's appeal against group ban
CAIRO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- An Egyptian court on Wednesday turned down an appeal by the Muslim Brotherhood against a previous court ruling that banned the group and seized its funds, official news agency MENA reported.
A court decided late September to ban all activities of the Islamist group as a non-governmental organization (NGO) and to confiscate its assets and funds, seen as one of the interim authorities' move to crack down on the Brotherhood after former President Mohamed Morsi was toppled by military on July 3 in response to mass nationwide protests against his single year rule.
