国际英语新闻:One killed, 7 injured in SW Pakistan's bombing
ISLAMABAD, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- At least one man was killed and seven others were injured when a series of three coordinated blasts hit Pakistan's southwest Quetta city on Wednesday night, local media reported.
Urdu TV channel Geo News said that the bombing happened at two different places in the down town area of Quetta, the provincial capital of the country's southern Balochistan province.
The first bombing incident occurred in the Sixth Road Industrial sector of the city when some unknown gunmen detonated a cracker in the area, but it caused no loss of life.
The second blast happened when a roadside plated bomb exploded in the same area, shortly after the first blast, injuring at least three people.
Police said that the bomb was fixed in water drainage.
Minutes after the second blast, another relatively powerful explosion happened at Patel Road area of the city, killing one man and injuring four others.
Police said that the bomb was detonated by a remote controlled device and explosive materials were fixed in a Rickshaw parked at the blast site.
The injured people were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta where there conditions are said to be stable.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Security forces cordoned off the area and kicked off search operation.
The blasts came after the Balochistan Government announced a comprehensive security plan for maintaining law and order situation in Quetta. According to the announcement, More than 400 security cameras would be installed, and the number of paramilitary troops would be doubled in the city.
