国际英语新闻:Tests rule out suspected case of Ebola in Berlin
BERLIN, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- The suspected case of Ebola in Berlin has not been confirmed, said the Charite University Medicine Berlin on Tuesday.
The suspected Ebola patient was taken to the Charite, which is one of the largest university hospitals in Europe, after she suffered a circulatory collapse in a job center in Berlin.
Based on the results of blood analysis, all tests for the detection of Ebola were negative.
Shortly after the patient was admitted to the infection station, a malaria infection was found microscopically and an appropriate therapy was initiated.
"The patient is doing well under the circumstances," said Dr. Norbert Suttorp, director of the Medical Department of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Pneumology of the Charite.
