国际英语新闻:Kenya intensifies search for bodies, survivors after university attack
NAIROBI, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan security forces on Friday intensified the search for dead bodies and survivors at Garissa University College that was attacked by Al-Shabaab terrorists on Thursday.
The disciplined forces partnered with relief agencies to transport dead bodies to the morgues and offer medical assistance to survivors.
Officers who spoke to Xinhua revealed that more than 120 dead bodies were recovered from the university.
Garissa referral hospital mortuary was overwhelmed, forcing the rescue team to airlift dead bodies to Nairobi.
Meanwhile, Kenya's disaster agency announced on Friday it had set up an emergency center in Nairobi's Nyayo stadium to assist families in identifying the dead and injured.
A huge crowd turned up at a public mortuary in Nairobi to identify deceased relatives.
The disaster agency and Kenya Red Cross will also help families to locate terror survivors.
