CARACAS, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has received 10.42 million signatures on a petition calling on the United States to repeal a decree declaring the country a national security threat, media reported Thursday.
The announcement came a day before Maduro is set to attend the 7th Summit of the Americas, which begins Friday in Panama City, Panama.
The president had earlier said he planned to present his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama, who will also be attending the hemispheric gathering, with 10 million signatures.
