Why do our joys depart

For Cares to seize the heart?

I know not. Nature says.

Obey; and Man obeys.

I see, and know not why,

Thorn live and roses die.

为何欢乐难留

兰驼

为何欢乐难留，

心中常驻忧愁？

我不知缘由。

大自然发话：服从！

人类即服从。

我看见仍搞不懂：

为何玫瑰花儿谢，

却刺儿留。
