            草原上的马匹
　　　　你带走了
　　　　秋天的眼神
　　　　带走了一群孩子
　　　　欢快的口哨
　　　　带走了马铃薯
　　　　上的梦想
　　　　也带走了
　　　　金龟子
　　　　背上灿烂的阳光
　　　　A horse on the prairie!
　　　　You are drawing away---
　　　　Eyes of Autumn;
　　　　Whistles of kids
　　　　Bright and happy;
　　　　Dreams
　　　　On each potato;
　　　　Also away
　　　　The grand sunshine
　　　　On back of a dorbeetle!
　　　　
　　　　草原上的马匹
　　　　你带着幼小的黄昏
　　　　奔跑
　　　　又带着
　　　　好奇的清晨回家
　　　　A horse on the prairie!
　　　　You are racing
　　　　Along with a tender evening;
　　　　Then back home
　　　　Along with a wondrous morning.

　　　　没有人让你
　　　　背起沉重的书包
　　　　没有人让你背诵
　　　　厚厚的课本
　　　　你的课程
　　　　就是学会快跑
　　　　你的欢乐
　　　　就是自由地撒欢
　　　　A horse on the prairie!
　　　　You are subject
　　　　To no heavy school-bag;
　　　　Nor a text-book
　　　　Thick as that.
　　　　Your only course
　　　　Called Tantivy;
　　　　And make it cool
