娱乐英语新闻:Indian actress Priyanka Chopra wins People's Choice Award

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra has become the first South Asian actress to win a People's Choice Award.

The 33-year-old has won the Favorite Actress in a New TV series prize for her role as an FBI agent in the U.S. thriller "Quantico."

This is her first year in America from Bollywood, switching from Indian feature films to American television. "It's the weirdest thing, but you know what's crazy is that people come up to me and they know that I probably feel weird being here because I don't know anyone and they come and introduce themselves and they make me meet other people so it's so nice. Everyone has been so wonderful to me."

Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Marcia Gay Harden, and Emma Roberts were also nominated in the category.
