BERLIN, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The top match between record champion Bayern Munich and defending champion Borussia Dortmund ended with an unspectacular 1-0 win for Dortmund on Saturday in Bundesliga.

Monchengladbach youngster Marco Reus defeated Bremen singled handed when he donated a hat-trick to the blatant 5-0 win. Schalke celebrated a 4-0 goal festival to give underdog Nuremberg no chance.

Struggling Wolfsburg shocked stunner team Hannover 4-1 owing a brace by midfielder Hasan Salihamidzic at the Lower Saxony derby while Cologne versus Mainz was cancelled due to a suicide attempt.

Bundesliga giants Bayern and Dortmund staged a match at high pace with only few goal-scoring scenes. Bremen now unable to hold the pace watched as "Gladbach" youngster Marco Reus sealed his hat rick within the 51st minute to flabbergast the guests from the "Weser".

Finally "Gladbach" midfielder Juan Arango sealed the one sided affair at the 53rd minute to inflict Bremen the fourth loss of the season. Bremen had to finish the match with ten men as defender Sokratis booked his second yellow card.

Monchengladbach climbs from fourth to third with 26 points to underline their good performances while Bremen slips from third to fifth with 23 points.

Clinical Schalke taught Nuremberg a lesson at Schalke Arena to seal their ninth win of the season.
