Hello, I'm Chris Barrow with the BBC News.

Donald Trump is predicted to have won the New Hampshire republican primaries as he seeks the party's US presidential election nomination.

Results with about half the votes counted give him more than 55%.

His last remaining rival, the former UN ambassador Nikki Haley has about 43%.

In a speech, Miss Haley said the race was far from over.

Today we got close to half of the vote.

We still have a ways to go, but we keep moving up.

Addressing his supporters, Mr. Trump accused his rival of being delusional and trying to hang around despite her loss.

Donald Trump's speech was quite extraordinary, really.

He was pretty unhappy, and he was directing a lot of that unhappiness on Nikki Haley calling her an impostor, suggesting that she claimed victory here, which she hadn't.

She conceded to him in that speech, but pretty unhappy clearly that she's staying in the race, extraordinary, really aim attacking the primary process here, attacking the republican governor as well, in some ways, attacking those undeclared voters, those sort of more moderate voters here who we might need in the general election, quite honestly.

You know, New Hampshire has four electoral votes for it to college votes.

If it's tight, he might need those people.

The UN secretary general has told the Security Council any refusal to accept the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict must be rejected, because it was the only answer to endless cycles of violence.

Antonio Guterres was reacting to Israel's prime minister dismissing the idea last week.

Last week's clear and repeated rejection of the two-state solution at the highest level of the Israeli government is unacceptable.

This refusal and the denial of the right to statehood to the Palestinian people would indefinitely prolong a conflict that has become a major threat to global peace and security.
