2016-11-23来源:和谐英语

Britain will deliver its first budget since the Brexit referendum took place in June. The treasury says the budget will focus on improving the livelihoods of workers who have suffered from the Brexit aftermath.

Measures include 1.36 billion pounds to help build 40,000 affordable homes for the working class and their families. The minimum wage, also known as the National Living Wage, will be raised from 7.2 pounds an hour to 7.5 pounds.

There will also be a crackdown on fees imposed on tenants, which has been a constant complaint among renters.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond will deliver his Autumn Statement before Parliament around 12:30 GMT and provide a briefing on the budget measures.
