千万别把“交男朋友”翻译为“make a boyfriend”！歪果仁会笑掉大牙的！

大家都知道英文中的“交朋友”可以翻译成“make friends”，可是“交个男朋友/交个女朋友”在英文中该如何说呢？是不是可以照葫芦画瓢地将其翻译成“make a boyfriend/make a girlfriend”呢？

如果老外们听到你说“I want to make a boyfriend/girlfriend”，他们是会笑掉大牙的，因为他们会将其理解成“我想造一个男朋友/女朋友”，相信有不少中国留学生在国外会有这种经历。

其实“交个男朋友/女朋友”的地道说法是“get a boyfriend/girlfriend”，这是老外最常用的表达。

I don't want to get a boyfriend for the wrong reason.
我不想随随便便找个男朋友。

那“找（到）男朋友/女朋友”和“有了男朋友/女朋友”在英文中该如何表达呢？这里为各位小主拓展一下：

make it

别一说“成功”，你就把它翻译成“success”，这样太老套了。其实“make it”是个不错的选择，同样也表示“做到了，成功了”的意思。这个短语很好用。

同样，这里也拓展一下make it，它还可以表示“去往/前往某地”，含有赴约的意思，相当于“head for/make for somewhere”。

接下来要介绍的这个短语是“make A out of B”，有许多人时常会将其搞混。该短语的意思是“使B成为A”，一定要记牢了。

在英语中，我们常用短语“make a fool of sb ”来表达“愚弄，玩弄；欺骗”某人的意思。
